My Story

2026 will mark my 30th year as a stone mason. I starting building with stone as a teenager in Salem Oregon. This led to working for contractors in Salem and Ashland Oregon for a number of years. In 2003 I moved to Portland and earned a degree in landscape technology with a specialty in landscape design from Portland Community College. I've been living and working in Portland ever since as a landscape and masonry contractor. My educational background gives me a unique understanding of the design process and the ability to communicate effectively with landscape designers, architects, builders and homeowners. Artistry is a necessity for me in work and life and I always prioritize a higher level of design and craftsmanship on any of my projects.

 

Bo Lassiter Stonescapes, a landscape design/build business was opened in 2006. After a few years of running that business, I decided to be more specialized and only do artisan masonry and hardscaping.  I felt that my true passion was working with stone and my efforts would be more valuable doing what I love rather than spreading myself too thin.  I renamed my business Bo F. Lassiter Stonemason since I am doing Architectural and structural masonry in addition to hardscaping.  I felt that changing my name would more accurately reflect who I am.
